About Ancestors of Boss Bayless
Julius Alexander "Boss" Bayless was my Mother's Father. This site is dedicated to his memory and our ancestors. Boss lived most of his life in Texas but he was born in Walker Co., GA. He had a deep interest in his family and in his ancestry. He made at least two trips to Georgia in his later years to see all the places his family remembered. I lived with him and my Grandmother Alma for a short time when I was very young. We first lived in Houston and then on the farm in Mexia, Limestone Co., TX. The Bayless home was located across the road from the Old Confederate Reunion Grounds where I played every day. Granddaddy's hobby was woodworking and he made many beautiful pieces of furniture and toys, etc. He even made a wooden lifesize image of me which he painted to look just like me - my twin!

On this site, you will find the ancestors of Boss but not his descendants or those of his siblings.

Many BAYLESS descendants of Boss and his kin still live in Texas today. You will also find here some of my RIBLING ancestors, my Grandmother Alma's HUDSON and BENNETT ancestors as well as some TUNNELL ancestors and many others.

CAUTION! Please be aware that not all data here has been proved. Look for citations and verify any information that you would like to use. This is my "working" database. It includes information that I have found and hope to prove as well as information I have proved. Please be careful.

LIVING Persons: Unfortunately, Security measures cause any person without a Death Date to be considered LIVING. I have chosen not to make up death dates so these persons who obviously died many years ago will be shown on these pages. I want to protect those who truly are still alive. If you see an ancestor whose name and information is hidden, please contact me if you want more information.

Please contact me if you find that we share ancestors, I would be glad to discuss them with you!
